Shooting Season

E. "JACK'

" LUTTRELL.

(To the Editor). Sir, — The shooting season will be around on May 1 and I wish to mahe a few suggestions to the society. Very soon the columns of the Press will be full of the usual notices trespassers with dog or gun will be prosecuted. What is the nse of a licenee when at every turn you are confronted with "Trespassers prosecuted.' ' Could not the society arrhnge with property owners where the society liberate game for holders of licences to shoot over same. As things are now it is useless tahing out a licenee when one has nowhere to shoqt. If the society assisted licenee holders to gain access to places where they could get a shot, many more would take up the sport and be assisting the society and as well the stores who supply the necessary ammunition. ' — Yours, etc.,

Hastings, April 16.
