On Saturday afternoon members of the Hastings Club attended the opening run of the Napier Harrier Club. The bus in whieh the Hastings boys were being conveyed to Napier collided with a private car on the Clive bridge. Fortunately no one was hurt though the car suffered suffieient damage to necessitate the aid of a breakdown truck. Despite this mishap and the cold wet day, the harrier spirit could not be dainpened and the run, which was held from the new motorists ' camp Kennedy Park, T apier, was enjoyed by all. These interclub visits do mueh to foster- friendship between Hawke's Bay 's two premier clubs and the contests between them will fi'e run this year as usual in that spirit of f riendly, rivalry whicfi is one of the outstanding features of the harrier sport. The departure 'of Mr C. Wright left the captaincy. of the -Hastings Club vacant, the leadership now being pl'aeed in the capable hauds of Mr Alec, Robertson, an old and valued member of the club.
