GOOD INCREASE IN EXPORT

WELLINGTON, Last Night. An increase of 6815 tons of bii^ter and 3221 tons of cheese is shown in the exports of dairy produce for the eight months of the current season to March 31, as compared with those for the corresponding period of 1935-36. Shipments of butter during March t-otalled 14,475 tons, and shipments of cheese 9223 tons. { Shipments of butter from Australia to the United Kingdom this seasou show a substantial decrease for the •• eight months ended March 31. THe shipments totalled 51,450 tons, as compared with 73j574 tons for the corresponding period last season, a decrease of slightly over 30 per cent. Shipments of butter from Australia to Britain in the last month were only 6466 tons, as compared with 11,050 tons for March, 1936. Shipments of cheese from Australia to the United Kingdom for the eight months were 4548 tons, as compared with 4884 tons for the corresponding period last season.
