COOK WITH MILK
Publicity Movc In England SPECIAL DISHES Is the very successful milk-bar movement to be followed by chains of cook-ed-milk-diBh. shops? The question is prompted by the opening of such an establishment at Romford (Essex). The National Milk Publicity Council is responsible for this. It is soiuetimes complained by houBewives that to cook with milk takes time for preparation ahd time for cooking. This is an effort to overcome that complaint. Some fourteen specially seteeted milk dishes have beea prepared, cooked and are offered for sale over the counter 'so that the public can take them home and either heat them or eat them cold. The range of dishes is wide, selected to indieate the variety of attractive but economical 'dishes which can be made. There are meat, vegetarian, sweet and cheese dishes. Some of them are baked in dishes; others can be packed in light cardboard containers. The preparation and cooking of the dishes is taking place in full view Of the public in the shop and in electric ovens and ordinary electric cookers, so that it can be seen that Only the best fre'sh ingredients are used with fresh milk, and that cleanliness and method are essential factors in their preparation.
