PERSONNEL QF TEAM IHE COAHNG RUGBY TOUR THREE TESTS PROVDED FINAL MATCH AT AUCKLAND Selection of the Springbok Rugby team, . which was announeed this week, has stimulated interest in the ; forth.coming teUr and the gigantic i task facing Now Zealand in, the three ■ tests provided, the first of which is to be played at Wellington, on August 14 and the last at Auckland on September 25. Following is the team:— Fuil-backs.— Turner and Brand. Wings.-Willi.ams, Lawton, Lyster, and Broodryk. Centres.— Beater, White, Hofmeyr and Babrow. Stand-off Halves.— Van der Vyver, Lochner and Harris. Scrum Halves,— Craven and de Villiers. Forwards. — Lotz, S. C, Louw, M. M. Lquw, Jennings, Sheriff, Martin, Nel, van den Berg, Bergh, Watt, Strachan, Dutoit, Bastard and van Reenen. The team is due to arrive, in Australia early to June and the first of nine matches will be played against Victoria on June. 12. The last match will be played against Australia on July 17 and the team will sail from g&finey that evening for Auckland, where the New Zealand tour will open with a match against the Auckland representatives on July 24. Seventeen matches,, including three tests at Wellington, Christchurch and Auckland respectively, will be played in the Pomtoion, The tourists will leave for Australia and South Africa on October 1. August 21. — v. . Canterbury, at Christchurch. August 25— v, West Qpast and Buller, at Greymouth^ August 28. — v. South Canterbury, at Timaru. September 4.— v.
