Scrimgeour, direetor of commercial broadcasting in New Zealaiid, has qUalified for that defmition. His Violent Und undignified outburst from a radio station in Auckland against the newspaper pre'ss, while not altogether surprising to those Who have been previOusly acquainted with Mr Settmgeour, Caused pained sufprise amoug the public. Even had there been full justil'ication for his attack on the press, whieh is not admitted, ther8 would still have been much to be desired in good taste, and the ■ incident has now left in the public mind as uneasy feeling that the attack may have had at least the tacit approvai of the Government.
