The Waipawa Uniled junior team to play Waipukurau Old Boys on Coronation Park, Waipawa, to-morrow at 2.45* p.m. will be selected from the following: Fair, Hopkins, Arnott, Davis, Watson, McCleary, Collett, Watarie, Martin, Bates, Walker, Smith, Morgan, Christensen, Humphries, Stedman, Sturm, Ireland. Any player unable to attend should notify the selector. Otane Rugby Team. The following team will represent Otane in their match against Takapau, to be played at Takapau to-morrow: Higgs, Smith, S. Drinkrow, Panapa, Pene, Riaeh, Tolley, Orr, Anderson, Hislop, Osborne, Burgess, Beale, Wright, Green. Emergencies: Backs, Ross, R. Drinkrow, R. Spargo; forwards, G. Spargo, Wrenn, Stephens. Wairo Coronation Day. A vote of £20 for celebrating the Coronation was made qt th'e monthly meeting of the Wairoa County Council, • The celebrations will be arranged by the Wairoa Borough Council, other local bodies participating. Cards at Clive. The weekly. "500" tournament was held in the Clive Hall on Wednesday . night, when there was a ,very,'. large 1 attendance of players. The ladies' 1 prizes were won by Miss A. Hagues (Haumoana),' and Mrs. T. / Kennerley, 1 and the lucky number to Mrs. Arthur | Harrison. The men's prize went to Mr. F. Smith (Haumoana), ahd Messrs. W. ; ■McCabe and R. Wilkinson tied for ] second, Mr. McCabe winning . the cut. The lucky number went to Mr. R. j Birch, Haumoana. • A savoury supper was sarved at the close of play by the ladies' committee. The committee wish to expregs their thanks to Mr. T. Lister, the donor of the lucky prizes.
