WAIHI, This Day, A remarkable escape froin death was experienced by Mr. B. J. Key, an elderly farmer of Waiete road, who was attacked when in the milking shed by an enraged pedigree buil. His dog came to hii rbscue aiid diverted the beast's attention while the victimt was dragged to safety. Mr. Key was alone ahd was in 'the act of handling a cow when the buil charged and knocked him down "against a fence. The enraged animal was cbft-t tinuing its attack on the helpless vic^ tim when his dog sprang with lightning, speed at the animal 'a head, thus divert-i ing its attention to its fiercely-snap; ping foe. Mr. Key, with a fractured leg and 'ti bruised chest and back, was dfagged td safety by a friend and removed tcf Waihi hospital. On f ecovering . from the first sh'ock Mr. Key stated:' "There is nothing surer than thatmydqgsayed my life."
