WAKARARA GROUP

The April meeting of the Wakarara Women' s Institute was held on Saturday afternoon in the schoolroom, when the president presided over a fair attendance of members. A new member was welcomed and. enrolled. Mrs Douglas, as delegate, gave a report of the half-yearly Federation meeting recently held at Waipukurau, i'or which she was accorded a vot6 oi' thanks. It was arranged that the next meeting be held at the Makaroa Sehool. The roll-call, "The farthest I've been and what I say," was most interesting. The competition for the month, "Initialed handkerchief," was won by Miss E. Laugeson. "Aviation Tests," an amusing game was won by Mrs Warlow. Hostesses for the aiternoon wero Mrs J- Douglas and Miss E. Langeson.
