L. J. ELLIS RETURNS

Eyesight Recorered While riding in Australia, the wellknown New Zealand jockey L. J. Ellis had serious trouble with his eyesight, and he had to consult a specialist. He returned to New Zealand by the Wanganella and states that his health is practically as good as ever. He is returning to his home in Christchurch. Ellis fint noticed that his eyes were not functioning properly when he was exercising a horse, When he consulted a specialist he was told that a fall in Dunedin some years ago was responsible for the trouble, and prompt treatment was necessaxy. For some time there was doubt as to whether or not he would recover the full use of his eyesight, but fortunately, the treatment was successful, and after spending five weeks in hospital he was; allowed to return home. When he arrived at Wellington to-day he appeared to be in .ex cellent health.
