The Napier Horticultural Society will hold its annual chrysanthemum show in the Foresters'' Hall, Napier, on Thursday, April 22. The schedule has been 1 considerably enlarged and now caters for all sections of the publie. Besides the main chrysanthemum classes there are sections fdr general flowers, fruit, vegetables, cooking and horue industries and decorative. There is also a special section f,or school children (flowers and cooking). The gardening cirele of the Napier Townswomen's Guild is combining with the ladies' committee of the society. A meeting of the Maori Queen Carnival exeeutive committee will be held in the Labour Party room, Eailway road, Hastings, at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Players who wish to piay in the junior grade for the Havelock North Football AjJVo are asked to attend a practice on the Domain, Havelock North, at 7.30 to-niglit. The annual meeting of Swifts' Basbetball Club will be held at 503 Gray 's road, Hastings, at 7.30 p.m. .to-morrow.
