WOODVILLE, April 14. Harold Tuohy, aged 32, a matried man with two children, suffered a compound fractute of the left leg in an accident in the shunting yards at Woodville this morning. The leg was injured above the ankle and, after he had been attended to by a doctor, Mr Tuohy was taken to the Dannevirke Hospital, where xt was found necessary to amputate the limb. He passed a satisfactory night and his eondition is as I well as can be expected. i Mr Tuohy, who is employed by thc j Raihvay Department, has been stationi ed at Woodville for tbe last six months Mr Tuohy is a son of Mr and Mrs Patriek Tuohy, bf Rukahu, Hastings, fie Was transferred from Waipawa tc ^ Wbodville on promotion.
