- tordon Walker Ltd. Keen eompetition from a large attendance of fcuyers prevailed at Messrs. Gordon Walker, Ltd.'s weekly ffiarket sale held on Saturday last. Poultry values were in excess of last week's rates,, and .late Tates for piga . were maintained. Local and export buyers were " sfcort in their requirements. Spirited bidding was met with. for all dairy stock, and top values were secured for all sundries on offer. Prices realised were as follows:-— Poultry: — Table birds, 1/9 to 7/6; W.L. hens, 1/9 to 2/5 and 1/5 to 2/-; W.L. pullets, 4/10 to 8/-, sraail, 2/4 to 4/-; "W.L. coekerels, 1/6 to 3/-; B.O. hens, 1/10 to 3/2; B.O. pullets, 2/6 to 6/6; B.O. coekerels, 2/10 to 3/-, and 2/2 to 3/-; others, hens, 1/9 to 2/4, coekerels 1/4 to 2/8, pullets 2/- to 4/3, bantams at lld, ducks 4/- to 7/6 per pair. Pigs: — Weaners, 9/- to 14/6 and 6/to 10/6; slips, 16/6 to £1 2/-; stores, 19/- to £1 5/6; light porkers, £1 4/- to £1 12/-; porkers, £1 8/6 to £1 17/-; heavy porkers, £1 18/- to £2 11/-; bacpners, £2 13/6 to £3 11/-; choppers, at £1 18/-; lambs, 19/- to £1 6/6. Dairy Stock: — 1 Jersey cow, £10 5/-; 2 at £7 5/-, 1 at £7, 1 at £6 15/-, 4 at £4 to £5 10/-, 4 heifers at £4 to £6 15/-. Sundries stove £10 7/6, 50 heaps timber 8/- to £2, door £1 6/-, separafor £1 10/-, drills £2 8/-, vyces £1 15/-; carfc saddle £2 15/-, lawnrao.wers 10/* to £1 6/-, saddle and bridle £3 7/6, electrolux £2 10/-, 40 lots tools 1/- to 11/-, ropes 1/- to 2/6, grass -seed £1 8/-, 20 odd lots 1/- to 16/6. Produce and fruit sold readily at vehdors ' .rates. ■"
