MR BALDWIN HONOURED
Dinner Attended by Thousand Business Men LONDON, April 13. One thousand representatives of industry, commerce and business life attended a dinner xn honour of the Rt. Hon. Stanley Baldwin, who, Lord Hirst said, would, when he leaves omce, have no cause to complain of the country's ingratitude. Mr. Baldwin, who was tumultuously applauded, acknowledged Lord Hirst 's tribute in the briefest fashion and proceeded to review induistrial changes in •the past half century. He alluded to the danger of people becoming mechanised and said he dreaded the mass mind and dreaded the loss of individualistie character that made the British nation wbat it 3*.
