Small Yarding of Fat Sheep ST0RTF0RD VALUES \ ■ * The small yarding of fat s&eop at Stortford Lodge yesterday met with steady selling, the market showing no change from last week. A good draft ,pf well-done prime wethers from Elsthorpe soid at 28/9. The best ewes, on account of Mr J. L. Ed'sen, made 22/-. Prime Southdown cross lines sold keenly, two-tooth ewes making 25/9 and wethers 27/-. Outstanding woolly prime' Eomney lambs on account of Mr G. McCutcheon, of Fernhill, sold at 29/-. Medium-weights made 25/-, and light sorts were as cheap at 20/-. Prices were received as under for selected lines: — A small entry of very prime handf ed woolly lambs made 32/-. A small line of medium to heavy "good-quality wethers sold at 28/An entry of 28 medium to heavy av-erage-quality ewes tsold at 18/9. A line of 27 small-grown light woolly lambs made 21/-. On account of Mr J. L. Edsen, Haumoana, 14 prime heavy ewes with a good slipe realised 22/-. From the same source a pen of light-er-flnished ewes brought 21/-. A small entry of medium-grown prime-quality black-faced lamH? sold at 25/6. Showing prime quality, a pen of Southdown cross two-tooth ewes in good order sold at 25/9. From tho same source, a line of simirlarly bred prime wethers realised 27/-. On account of the Estate of S. Watson, Elsthorpe, 72 early-showh heavy prime wethers sold in a line at 28/9v On account of Mr C. McCutcheon, Fernhill, an entry of very prime woolly Eomney lambs in excellent order realised 29/-.
