TASMAN AIR SERVICE
No Deadlock, Says Hon. W. Nash (Received 15, 8.45 a.m.) I \ LONDON, April 13. Hon. Walter Nash, on behalf of Hon. P. Fraser, has issued a statement denying a deadlock in the Trans-Tasman air service negotiations. On the contrary, he says that the conference of Australian, New Zealand and British authorities in Septeinber agreed that the proposals were subject to the Government's ratification. Australia, hitherto, had not approved of the entire proposals. Britain had never intimated that, failing an agreement, she would authorise Imperial Airways to operate a service, nor.had she claimed the right to determine on; what terms the organisation should1 ope?ate. Mr. Nash added that the whole subject would be discussed at the Imperial Conference.
