WELLINGTON, Last Night. About 400 delegates representing trade ufiiouism throughout New Zealand attended the Labour Unity Conference, which tvas opened in Wellington to-day, with the object of briiiging about one complete industrial federation in New Zealand. The acting-Minister of Labour (Hon, 1\ C. Webb) presided and the conference was addressed by the acting-Prime Minister (Hon. P. Fraser) who wished . the conference suecess and at the same time stressed the grave responsibilities resting on trade, unionists in maintain- • ing peace and order in the industrial life of the country. The conference is considering a draft constitution, and is expected to last two or three days." ( 1
