Motor Industry Strike in Ontario PREMIER'S ULTIMATUM

TORONTO, April 14. Mr. M. Hepburn, Premier of Ontario, has mustered 200 special constables and has asked Ottawa for additional mounted police for possible strike duty at Oshawa where the motor strike is in progress. He issued a second ultimatuni that Oabinet membets must support him or resign and hinted he may be going to test. the issue at an election. He said ihe Oshawa situation was more tense, and that. Gommunists were causing the trouble. The MayOr, Mr. Hall, denied this and invited Mr. Hepburn to come to Oshawa and see for himself. General Motors have failed to reply in regard to Federal intervention. Mr. Hall telegraphed a Tequest for intervention but Mr. Eogers, Federal Minister of Labour, said he would not intervene unless the Ontario Labour Department withdrew.
