RIFLE SHOOTING
L. H. Profitt Wins Napier Championship • FINAL 1937 SERIES Saturday saw the finish of the championship shoot series of the Napier Defence Rifle Club. Weather conditions were fairly good, a strong left wind causing) a bit of trouble. Hanges were 800 and 900 yards, 10 shots at each, standards 48 and 46. Top score of the day went to L. H. Profitt with 97 off the rifle, a good hit under the circumstances. R. C. Holt also shot consistently to get 96. This shoot gives L. H. Profitt the ladder badge, also the trophy for the final series. He also won the club's championship with a total of 1136, F. H. James with 1132 being a cIobo second. Details are as follow: —
