Acting upon a reeommendation by Cr. C. C. Smith, the Hawke's Bay County Council is to ask the Main Highways Board to include in this vear's tar-sealing programme the unsealed portion of the Eskdale main highway. The stretch lies between Waikato's corner and Munn's bridge. That highway is under the control of ihe J Highways Board. •
