CLIVE STREET LIGHTS
Request for Them to be . Replaced The replacing of street lights in the township of Clive is urgently desired by 200 residents of that locality. They signed a petition T^hieh was tabled at this morning 's meeting of the Hawke's Bay County Council, and the decision of the council was that as the route through the township was now under the control of the Main Highways Board, the petition should be referred to the Government authorities. The council will secure a report, however, from the Hawke's Bay Electric Power Board as to the cost of the lights. "We consider that tho traffie is most dangerous without some form of lighting for pedestrians and others," the petition states.
