The Wanstead Hall Committee held a meeting in the hall to arrange for a dance which) will be held later this month. Those present were' Mesdaines F. Walker (secretary), E. Tomilson, J. Marsh, and Messrs D. Johnson (chairinan), G. Pope, P. Glenny, J. Davv. R. Neal, M. Marchen. Friendly Rugby. On Saturday afternoon the Waipawa and Waipukurau junior football teams ■met in a friendly match on Coronation tark, Waipawa, being the first match of the season in Central Hawke's Bay. The Waipawa team gave a very good account of itself agaist a team strengthened by several seniors, winniug oy 16 poxnts to 14. Mr Mick Lane refereed.
