MR H. G. DICKIE'S VISIT
Service in National Party Mr ii G. Dickie, Member for Patea, arrived iji Hastings this morning in anticipation of opening this evening his tour of the Hawke's Bay and East Coasfc districts, addressing the electors on behalf of the National Party. Bom at Waverley in J874, Mr Dickie has been engaged in sheep-farming all his life. He is a successful farmer, a man of business and a public-spirited citizen. He has been a member of various local bodies and is a director of the Patea Freezing Co. and one of the recognised authorities on the meat ind'ustry in New Zealand- By several extended visits to Great Britain and abroad he has gained an intimate knowledge of the meat market. Mr Dickie won his seat in 1925 and has retained it at three elections since then. A born-and-bred New Zealander, distinguished in the service of his country, experieneed, capable and successful in business, trusted and respected by the people, Mr Dickie is a true-to-type supporter of the National Party, and one of its most valued member s» of the Parlianientary section.
