Involved in Collision When Drunk

GISBORNE, Saturday. Eor being intoxicated while in charge of a motor ear, Hirini Tautau, aged 33, a Maori from Tolaga Bay, was this moming sentenced by Mr. E. L. Walton, S.M., to a month's gaol, his lieence suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay a guinea medical expenses. The police stated that the accused had collided with a man who, suspecting the driver's condition, followed him and informed the police.
