curtain-raisers to the senior grade games at Nelson Park, Hastings the teams being mixed grades sides, juniors predominating. Ongaonga defeated Hastings 17-— 9 in one of these matches, and in the otber Hastings H.S.O.B. juniors beat Haumoana 11 — 8.
