N.Z. Mutton Firm At Smithfield STOCKS OF BEEF LIGHT (Received 12, 8.45 a.mA LONDON, April 11. The butter market is inclined To quietncss after a sharp appreciation early in the week, due to dear covering. Danish weakened by comparison with Dominion prices. Stocks of New Zealand and Aust:aliaii lambs are rather higher than last year, but- the deraand is consistent. New Zealand mutton, tkough Tn heavy supply, easily sold at five rates. Stocks of beef are light and prices are being maintaineil. Hides are dearer owing to short supply and though buyers are holding off, the prices should go higher.
