Arrangements Announced There will be no home lesaone nexf week' for pupils of the Hastings TTigh School, as it has been decided that the week shall. be observed as part of the first-term vacation. During the time that the school has been closed the members of the stafl have attended each day for the purposq of checking the exercises done by th# pupils at home. The principal, 3kfr W» A. G. Penlington, states that while this system worked fairly satisfactorily ig* the early stages it has recently becom# • apparent that little henefit can be de« rived from further assignments of exercises until some more teaching) ha# been given.
