The headless ghost of a guillotined murderer ekecuted two months ago is terrifyiug the village of St. Auvent, near Limoges. The wife and two children of the murderer reported eerie noises, ineluding knocks, loud stamping, the rattle of chains and the chink of broken glass from the garret between 9 o' clock and midnight every night. Armed police kept vigil and heard the noises, which ceased when the police investigated but re-com-menced when the search ceased. It is stated that the noises have been less violent since holy water was; sprinkled in the garret. I
