RUGBY, April 8. The increase of 3.3 per cent.*in the average of wholesale prices in Match, says the Board of Trade Journal, is the largest recj>rded for any month sinee the upward movement began in Juno, 1936. Since that month the index numbers for all articles and for industrial materials and manufactiires have risen continuously, the aggregate increases jn the period being about 17 and 18 per cent. respeetively. Food prices have also ri3en in eight of Ihe past ten months, and in March the usual seasonul decliue from the February level was displaced Uy an au 1 vance of 2.1 per cent.
