DARGIE—JACKSON
The wedding was solemnised at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Hastings, on Easter Thursday, of Ora Dulcie, second daughter of Mr and Mrs H. Jackson, of Clive, and Thomas Hamilton, son of Mr and the late Mrs J. D. Dargie, of Argyllshire, Scotland. Escorted by her father, the bride wore a lovely gown of cream satin beaute. Her silk tulle-embroidered veil was worn well back on the head and arranged cap fashion with a wreath of orange blassom. She wore cream satin slioes and carried an exquisite bouquet of cream gladioli and roses, with touches of pink. She was attended by her cousin, Miss Rona Hollyman, and Miss Mynne Weathered, dressed alike in attractive frocks of apple-green satin beaute. They wore haloes of real flowers in pink tonings, and carried lovely bouquets of pink cactus dahlias and gladioli, with green ribons. Karen Jensen (the bride's niece), the flower-girl, was in an ankle-iength frock of pink satin beaute, with frills at the hem and neck, and head-band of pink velvet roses. She carried & dainty basket of pink sweet peas and ferns. Mr Eric Wilson acted as best man and Mr Lindsay Jackson was groomsman. A reception was held at the Ritz Tea Rooms, where about 70 guests were reeeived by Mrs Jackson, the bride's mother, who was m a blue floral frock, withi hat and shoes to tone. Her posy was of Autumn flowers. For travelling on a honeymoon tour of the south, the bride changed into an autumn-toned swagger suit and small veiled hat of fawn felt.
