TARADALE SCHOOL
Meeting of ' Committee Messrs F. O. Anderson (chairman), H. Alderton, £, Grant, F. Si Wallace j and W. Eollock (secretaxy) were present at the. monthly meeting of the Taradale Schodl Committee held bn Monday evening. Apologies for ab-' sence were received from Messrs P. Oliver and G. A. Trevelyan. A circular letter from the Hawke's Bay Education Board defined a by-law permitting the introduction of opening devotional exerzises for schools, the matter being pUrely volutary on the part of both teachers and pupils. In order to endeavour to effect improvement of the school play-grounds it was decided to grazg sheep thereon for a period. Accounts for £2 15/10 were passed for ph#ment. It was decided that^ in future the committee's meetings shotild be held at 7.30 p.m.
