TARADALE HOUSING

Misunderstanding With Department It is anticipated that there are not more than 20 houses in Taradale that would be affected by the provisions of the housing survey under the Act relative to housing. Last night. the Taradale Town Board received details of the housing scheme from the Director of Housing Construction who asked that the housing survey should be put in\o effect. The ehairman, Mr J. Williamson, explained that some misunderstanding had occurred with the offieers of the department, and in cqnsequenee of this an explanation had been forwarded by the clerk of the board. Mr G. Webb said that he' did not think that there were more than 20 houses in Taradale that would be within the category of a sub-standard. He saw no reason why the board could not earry out its own inspection. It was decided to communicate further with the department on the matter.
