Decisive Victory For Cambridge CHRISTCHURCH BEATEN

Playing a fast, aggressive game, Cfambridge A, the holders, to-day gained a decisive victory over Christchurch A in the final match for the Saville Cup for the 1937 polo aeason at Hagley PaTk. Cambridge had the faster ponies in almost avery ohanga than any in the Christchurch string and as a team they produced a greater variety of shots witii greater accuracy. Christchurch improved as the game cleveloped, but it was ohvious right through that they Jacked practice in fast tournament play which this Cambridge team have been gotting right through the season and which have been unobtainable in the South Island. The final score was: Cambridge 11, Christchurch 4. After the match the Saville Cup was (presented to the captain of .the winning |team, C. G. Vosper, by Mrs D. H. S. iRiddiford. The junior cujp, won by the .Cambridge B team on Tuesday, was pre■sented to L. Kay. The captain and Imembers oi both teams received miniature cups. .
