Double Error Occurs m Hamilton .

• HAMILTON, Last Night. ! A £50 note which was tendered to, a Hamilton rest&unant proprietor yesterday as a 10s note by a ^Kawhia settler "turned up" to-day. The note was one of two £50 notes which the visitor receiYed When he cashed a cheque with a Hamilton firm. He had a meal in Hamilton befote returniiig home, and when passing through Te Awamutu discovered that he had apparently given one of the £50 notes instead of 10s. He immediately communicated With Hamilton and a search for the missing note was made* but the cfl'orts bore iio results. ; To-day a young man from a Hamilton groCery flrm delivered BOine goods at the festaurailt for which he received ! the sum of 13s from the prOprietress. The amount paid to the young man included What slie took to be a 10s note, but the grocer 's assistant happened to look at the note as he was leaving the Vho£ and discovered it was a £50 note. '
