Telling the examining magistrate her life story, Mme de la Ferriere, who is accused of shooting ihe Oount de Chambrum at the Gare du Nord station, scouted the huggestion that she was mad. She said she was orphaned when seven and a half years of age and brought up by a grandmother. She attended a girls' high school in the country, whare she began a love aifair when under 17 with M. de la Ferriere. secretary-general to the .perfecture. The headmistress found out and told her grandmother that the girl must immediately maTry M. de la Ferriere. They were married at Paris but the marriage was subsequently dissolved. She went on the stage in 1928 and later took a post on a Paris newspaper. She went to Eome for two days and stayed two months at the request of Siguor Mussolini.
