Opposition at Washington MONEY WANTED FOR REUEF (Eeceived 8, 8.45 a.m.) WASHINGTON, April 7. A House bloc, claiming 100 members, tieaded by Mr Maverick, agreed to demand 480,000,000 for a public works programme next year for the relief of three million unemployed, instead of Mr Eoosevelt's indicated recommendation of £240,000,000, despite a statement by Mr Ickes that the work of the Public Works administratioif was completed and it should only be a skeleton bxganisation,
Air mail dispatched from Wellington on March 18 and Auckland on March 19 iarrived at London on Monday.
