Great Diplomacy Shown . . „ CANBERRA, April 6. The offieial report on the Japanese sampan mcidcnt states that the commander of the. Larrahia fired across the bow of oue lugger only af ter other signals had been disregarded. Mr. L. Giles, acting administi'ator of the Northern Territory, , reports that the whole aSPair was handled diploxatically. He has asked Ihe Federal Government for definite instructions in regard to the treatment of Japanese pearlers apprehended in future. A Dartvin message states weli-organ-Jsed base. camps on Arnheim Land coast, 400 miles p"-t of Darwin, were found hy the commander of the Larrakia. Fast Japanese sampans,- acting as mother' ships to the overseas pearling fieet number 50, have used these camps. Some of the iuggers carry firearms, photographs of which are heing f orwarded to Canberra for the GovernrSent's inspection. "
