MUNICIPAL THEATRE
DANCE-COMEDY ANf> DETECTION With a rhythmie undertone of jungle tom-toms, Paramount's "Kumba," which screens to-night at the Municipal Theatre, brings George Raft and Carole Lombard back to the screen in au even greater suecess than their first eostarring effort, "Bolero." Pilled with elaborate and fascinating rhythms, some of Le Roy Prinz's mcst successful chorus routines, sparkling photography and costuming, it tells the vivid, poignant and human love story of a tempestuous dancer and a fascinating beauty. Raft and Miss Lombard are the principals in this drama wrich carries its people from Havana to New York through dancing, gaiety and what at time * seems like inevitable heartbreak. The second feature, "Father Brown, Detective," is packed with comedy, thrills and mystery. There is not a dull moment in the whole show. -h"
