9 The British Crown Jewels, which will iigure in the coming Coronatioh, are probably the most amazing collection in the world. The Boyal Sceptres alone are worth countless thousands of pounds. There is the Sceptre B»jal, which' is .two feet nine inches long and made of gold, lavishly adorned with precious stones. The centre piece of this treasure is the hu£e diamond, "Great Star of Africa," whic-.h was cut from the famous Cullinan. Tho oiher sceptro is known as St. Edward's Staff and is made of beaten gold.
