CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. i For the theft of unemployment levy payments totalling £101, John O 'Grady, : an employee of the Post and Telegraph t Department, was admitted to probation i for two years on condition that restitution is made within 14 days. The police said that O 'Grady had been employed in the Pilst Office for about 20 years. Towarda the end of January a large number of the employment levies usnally paid at the High Street office were not registered. It was found that O 'Grady had issued receipts and, when intervicwed, hc admitted embezzlement. The lapse was brought about because he hnd guaranteed Tepayment of a loan of £40 j for a friend ■ — I
