The meeting had been called to consider the new artieles of association, and the chairman of directors remarked that it would seem that the shareholders in the Waipukurau district must be quite satisfied, as so few of them had bothered to attend the meeting. The chairman explained that the board had only decided to 'hold a meeting at Waipukurau after careful consideration, as being in accord with their policy of always giving shareholders an ofiportunity of discussing any major policy matier with the board before it was put into operation. He then moved a vote. of condolence with the relatives of the late Mr G. C. Lowe, who was a director of the board up-to the time of his death. The motion was carried by those present standing in Bilence. ' ■ It was announced that Mr R. S. Allan,. Hatuma} had been selected to fill the vacancy on the directorate in ac- , cordance with the board's promise some time agrf that the Waipukurau district should have . ffiore representation. Mr Allan was for some years manager of the Eltham Dairy Factory, and since then has been farming in the Hatuma district.
