German Note Asks For Recision S.W. AFRICA TROUBLE

(Received 6, 11.55 a.m.) CAPETOWN, April 5. The German Minister has presented a protest to General Hertzog againstj the anti-Nazi proclamation against Germans in South-west Afrjca. It refers to the reporfc of the South-i west Africa Commission as producing unproved allegations, on which the pro* clamation is based. The German Nota denies that Germans are interfering with institutions in South-west Africaj and adds that the German Government, which has repeatedly urged the elimina* tion of tension by mutual understanding, now considerB it to be its duty ta rais© a warniug and ask the Union Government to take steps to prevent
serious \damage m carrying out .the proclamation.
