40-Passenger Plane Being Prepared SPEED OF, HS M.P.H.

NEW YURJ1, April 5. The Martin Company, builders of the Ohina Clipper, announce plans for a 40passenger Clipper for a trans-Atlantic service from New York to Europe. The company is organising the service in the hope that it will precede the Imperial Airways Pan-American 6ervice, which is held up owing to a deadlock. The new planes will make the eastward journey in 18^ hours and the westward trip in 21 hours. The cruising plane has a radius of 5000 statute miles and an average speed of 175 miles an hour.
