Suicide Attempt Failed SANITY DOUBTED (Received 5, 8.45 a.m.) PARIS, April 4. The magistarte has 'ordered a mentaj examination of Mme de la Ferriere, who is reported to have attempted to commit suicide in her cell again. Mme. de la Ferriere shot at and badly wounded the Count de Chambrun, a French diplomat, who was waiting to catch a train at the Gare du Nord station. Mme de la Ferriere, at a magisterial inquiry into the shooting, alleged that she was in love with a prominent Italian statesman, but French Government offiicals had tried to spoil her romance. When searched by the police. her room was found to contain numerous photographs of Mussolini.
