New Zealand Record Eclipsed . .The New Zealand reeord red deen , head was for many years a 24-pointer 'which was sccured in the Rakaia foiest! in 1917, but a new record has now beeuj set from this district. During last! week Mr. G. G. Buckman, of Umutoi,! j secured a 25-pointer in tho Pohangina) area. It ia a particularly heaVy head' of the Warnham Court type and is a j typical bush head. It is well-balanccd' j having 12 points on the right and 11 points on the left antler, all pdiats being well defined. Sportsmen will congratulato Mr. Buckman on his good fortune in securicg an excellent trophy.
