IN HOTEL AFTER HOURS
Port Ahuriri Man Fined For being found after houis on the premises of the Crown Hotel, Port Ahuriri, three men were fined ' by Mr J. .Miller, S.M., in the Napier Magistrate's Court this morning. A guest in the hotel was fined for aiding, abetting and counselling of tbe otfence. The men were Thomas -Davii, Port Ahuriri, carpenter, who was fined £2 with 10/- costs ; Edwin Seastrand, oi Port Ahuriri, waterside worker; and Harry Waite, of Port Ahuriri, labourer. They were each fined £1 with 10/costs. For. the offence of abetting, ArT,hur Farrington, . of Port Ahuriri, iabnurer, was fined £2, with 10/- Court costs. Constable J. R. Williamsou gave fvidence of the visit to the Crown Hotel. The three defendants were in a rr>ar room, he said, and all had liquov in front. of them.
