GETTING MARRIED
Luise Rainer had the darnedest .time getting marriedl When she and Clifford Odets (the playwright) went .to apply for the marriage licence, Luise laboriously filled out all the answers to the questions. When she finished at last the clerk eaid, "Sign here." With a flourish, Luise signatured the document. Then she heaved a great sigh, looked np fondly at Odets and exclaimed breathlessly, "And now we are married." It took the confnsed bridegroom-to-be ten minutes to explain that the ceremony h^dn't even started. ' Anita Page has been secretly married to a nava'l officer and is residing at Coronado. $ Clifford Odets, the dramatist, who doesn't know how to drive a car, cait be seen pedalling on a bieycle from Beverly Hills to Hollywood.
