Rising Prices
"POULTRY FARMER."
■ (To the Editor.) Sir,— In reply to the letter in last night 's-issue under the heading "Rising Vrices," I beg to state that thefwholesale price of eggs in Wellington is 1/10. This is for A grade, specials being dearer. GrocOrs could not therefore retail at 1/4 unless as an advertising gtunt. The figure I quote, 1/10, is as supplied the day before yesterday by the Government Internal Marketing Branch. Thanking you. — Yours, etc.,
Hastings, April 2, 1937.
