POACHER'S REVENGE
Fataily Wounds Two Gendarmes COMMITS SUICIDE (Eeceived 2, 11.45 a.m.) LONDON, April 1. The Times Paris correspondent says: 'During a funeral procession at the vijlage of Valinsoiles, a poacher, as revenge for an encounter last week with the police, iired at close range from a cottage and fataily wounded two gendarmes. The mourners seattered, but tbe plucky local mayor threw a stone at the poacher, who aimed at the mayor but had forgotten to reload. The murderer slammed the window and instantly committed suicide. "
