Footbail ia now ofl a better footing than for some time past in the Taupo district, according to the annual report of the Hawke 's Bay Eugby Union. Last year the union took over the control of footbail in the Taupo area. and sufficient teams were seeured to make keeu competition. "The Taupo sub-union gave auite a lot of time to the game, and, with the encouragement received from the union, became a' very erithnsiaHtic body in the furtherance of the code.
